Interspaces (Zwischenräume) – Questioning interdisciplinary working processes at the interface of technology and arts: This project aims to collect processes, best practices and lessons learned in typical artistic digital productions and make them available to the community. It was created as a result of the workshop of the same name at the Stuttgart Filmwinter in January 2023, where initial approaches for this guide were compiled by the participants. These will be published here and further completed.

Stuttgarter Filmwinter - Festival for Expanded Media is looking for current positions in the fields of short and experimental film, installations, network culture, audiovisual performances and live acts.

The festival offers an experimental plattform for film and media art in discourse and practice. We look forward to inspiring meetings, intensive exchange, old and new discoveries!

We are planning the next festival on-site from 18 to 21 January 2024 and again online. Our online platform is geo-blocked, time-limited and copy-protected for the films to be shown. Participants of Stuttgarter Filmwinter and professional audience will get access to our protected festival hub. Artists may choose not to present their work online. We will inform you about possible changes to the plan due to Covid-19 in accordance with the constantly evolving facts.

Save the date! Der nächste Open Call Buggles Award 2024 startet im Juli 2023

Ab 22. Juli 2023 könnt ihr Musikvideos einreichen für den Open Call Buggles Award 2024. Das Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart und der Stuttgarter Filmwinter - Festival for Expanded Media vergeben nun bereits zum vierten Mal den landesweiten Musikvideowettbewerb für innovative, experimentierfreudige und unkonventionelle Arbeiten. Eingereicht werden dürfen Musikvideos aus Baden-Württemberg. Eine Kommission mit Vertreter:innen des Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart und dem Stuttgarter Filmwinter wählt die Wettbewerbsbeiträge aus.
